Our Wire Fox Terriers

Our New Champion AfterAll Painting The Sky
Wins At Great Western!

We were thrilled when Diane wanted to share Sky with us as a birthday gift. Little did we all know just how talented this little wire girl is. What a wonderful Great Western weekend we had! Great Western is an all terrier breed show held every year at the Queen Mary Event Park right on the water in Long Beach. Being the prestigious show that it is, terriers and their handlers fly in from all over the United States to compete. This year, one exhibitor flew in from Japan.

Sky in the ring at Great Western

Diane and I made it a girl's weekend while the boys stayed home and took care of dogs. The weather was beautiful. On Saturday, Sky finished her championship and went on to Best of Breed and was one of six pulled in the group. On Sunday, she was moved up and shown as a special. Again she went Best of Breed and again was one of six pulled for the group. Not bad for a baby girl who isn't two yet and has only been shown five weekends since November. We are all so proud of owning such a beautiful specimen of the breed.

To see more of Sky, go the the AfterAll Website.

With Sky now finished, there is a new ginger puppy waiting in the wings. Her name is AfterAll Benne Calendar Girl or Flirt for short. I will be sharing her with Diane and Flirt's breeder, Peggy Bennett.  At this point she is growing up at home with Diane, running and playing with the Standard Poodles, Kai and Tabu .  It will be fun to cheer for another Wire!
