Willa/Lily Pups
 Seven through Eight Weeks Old

Week 7-During this week the puppies continue to investigate EVERYTHING. They've experienced being in different parts of our home and they've gone on field trips. They are playing harder, have more coordination so they chase each other on a full run. It's cute to watch them do their "sneak attacks," with the biggest pounce they can summon up.

When a new toy is introduced or a new visitor pays a visit, not one puppy holds back. They ALL approach anything with their tails up and without any hesitation. They all award visitors with kisses when they've been the chosen one to be picked up and held.

Week 8-Eight weeks of age is the beginning of what some refer to as The First Impact Period and others call it The First Fear Period. Either way it's the time when all steps should be taken to avoid frightening the puppies. They need to stay in their familiar environment which is why we never let our puppies go to their new families at eight weeks of age. Even though they have short attention spans they are starting to focus their attention on us. Scott and I will catch them sitting and staring just waiting to make eye contact with us and to hear, "What a good girl," or "What a good boy." They get all tickled hearing it.

Here they are ... meeting new people and having little adventures!
